Dicentra have delicate heart-shaped pendulous flowers. They add color to shady locations, flowering usually stops in hotter climates (mid-summer) but may start again when the weather cools off. Dicentra are wonderful perennials in your garden or containers, and are low maintenance. They are excellent for rock gardens, at the edge of a grove or in any shady spot in your garden. They require full shade to partial sun, and attract hummingbirds and are rabbit resistant.
