Misses Amy is a dahlia cultivar typically described as an anemone-flowered variety, offering a rounded, full-inflorescence with a prominent central disk and many layered ray florets that give a soft, papery bloom appearance.  The cultivar is commonly listed with purplish-toned petals and a burgundy or darker center, producing a striking, rich display in garden borders or cutting gardens.​  Plants reach a substantial height around  7 to 8 " in with a broad spread, suited to borders or tall focal positions in summer through early fall.​
