Clematis 'Abilene' is a compact, deciduous climber known for its abundant star-shaped flowers. It features bright pink blooms up to 5 inches across with a deeper pink central stripe and contrasting butter-yellow stamens. The flowers have elegantly ruffled sepals that create a captivating display, blooming profusely in late spring to early summer, often followed by a second flush in late summer. This variety grows with a bushy, compact habit, reaching moderate heights suitable for patio containers, small trellises, or shady garden spots. It is easy to cultivate and very free-flowering. Clematis grows well in containers or garden and can be used to cover a wall, fence, or trellis. It needs partial to full sun (at least 3 hours of direct sunlight).
