Clematis 'Duchess of Edinburgh' is a classic deciduous climber prized for its elegant, fully double white flowers. These blooms, measuring 4-6 inches across, feature multiple layers of narrow, recurved petals that form rosette-like shapes, occasionally tinged with green.​  The large, showy flowers appear profusely in late spring to early summer, primarily in May and June, with cream or yellow anthers adding contrast.
