Mount Tacoma Dahlia
TYPE: Semi-Catus
BLOOM: 6-7"
HEIGHT: 76"
COLOR: White
Mount Tacoma is a white semi‑cactus dahlia known for its elegant, spiky blooms that read as very clean and luminous in the garden. Flowers are large, typically about 6–7 inches across, with long, narrow, pointed petals that are rolled or tubular, giving a starburst, cactus-style form. The blooms are pure white, creating a crisp, serene effect that stands out well in borders and bouquets. Plants are tall, generally grown as a “tall-flowered” dahlia type suitable for the back or middle of a border and for cutting. They bloom prolifically through summer and into autumn when regularly deadheaded. Mount Tacoma is favored for cutting because its blooms hold well in the vase and the clear white color pairs easily with any palette. In borders, the refined cactus form adds height, texture, and a cool, glowing white accent among stronger colors.
