The Phantom Dahlia is an Anemone-type, with a single outer row of flat petals surrounding a raised, cushion-like center of many short, tubular florets.  The outer petals are deep pink with bold cherry splashes or streaks, creating a vivid tow-tone effect.  The central pincushion is packed with tiny magenta and orange florets, giving a fiery multicolored core.  The Phantom Dahlia is a tall, upright plant with medium sized blooms.  From a distance, the bloom looks like a bright, warm pink flower with a glowing, textured center and up close you see distinct deep pink, cherry, magenta, and orange tones.
