Paco Calla Lily
Color: Purple
Hardiness Zone: 8-11
Height: 12-18 inches
The ‘Paco’ calla lily (Zantedeschia ‘Paco’) is a compact, richly colored calla with dark purple, bicolor blooms and medium-green foliage. It has trumpet-shaped “pitcher” flowers with a dark purple or violet center. The edges are mauvy pink or soft lavender, giving a distinct bicolor look. The flowers are medium to medium-large and produced abundantly (very floriferous). They are often used as an elegant cut flower for arrangements, weddings, and decor. The Paco calla lily is typically about 18 inches (30–45 cm) tall with a compact to medium, upright habit. It is suited for pots, patio containers, and garden beds, especially as a focal point. The foilage is medium green leaves, usually solid green and sometimes described as broad and decorative. It flowers in roughly 8–12 weeks from planting in the growing season, often blooming through summer. Prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil; grown outdoors in warm zones or as a seasonal/indoor pot plant in cooler areas and has a low scent and is pollen-free, making it clean and suitable for indoor arrangements.
