The Tuberosa Single White, commonly known as single-flowered tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa), is a tropical bulb plant prized for its intensely fragrant white blooms. It features upright spikes up to 3 feet tall with tubular, waxy flowers about 2 inches long, each with six flaring petals.  It's grass-like leaves form a clump at the base, supporting the flower spike that blooms from summer to fall.​Flowers open sequentially from the bottom up, releasing a sweet, gardenia-like scent strongest at night; ideal for cut flowers or garden borders.  Native to Mexico, it thrives in full sun and heat, often grown from tubers in zones 8-11 or as an annual elsewhere.​
